Multimodal Routing for Connecting People and Events

There are obviously many complex cases of multimodal route planning on a daily basis. This paper is intended to find an efficient and feasible solution to the optimal pathfinding algorithm and multimodal network modeling problem. The proposed solution can support the next generation of multimodal navigation service. To reach this goal, a navigation dataset which contains information about the multimodal route planning is required to be ready to use. Also, this paper tackles the following points: representation of multimodal networks for transportation, formalization of the problem of multimodal route planning, analysis and design of multimodal route planning algorithm. Finally, this paper does not cover only all the previous points but also presents for an efficient, effective and general approach that can help individuals to find optimal routes in transportation networks with reasonable mode combinations and accessible modes. We provide the simulation of the proposed approach where results show the applicability of our approach.
