Cidade e natureza: as águas relendo uma Belém da belle époque (1870 aos anos iniciais de 1910)

The paper investigated the articulation between city and nature considering the water uses in the city of Belem do Para through the years of belle epoque. The sources were newspapers of the period. It was concluded that city and nature, not as opposites, formed an ideal of urban life during the mentioned period.
