New eudesmenes from Erigeron annus

Chemical investigation of Erigeron annus afforded two new eudesmenes, which were identified as 1beta, 5alpha-dihydroxyeudesma-4(15)-en (1) and 1beta, 7alpha-dihydroxyeudesma-4(15)-en (2). Their structures were established by spectroscopic methods including 2D NMR experiments.
