Current status on prevalence and control of echinococcosis in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture

Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is a highly endemic area of echinococcosis in China.Both alveolar echinococcosis and cystic echinococcosis were highly co-endemic in some areas of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.Echinococcosis has been regarded as one of the most important public health problems in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.This article analyzed the current status on prevalence and harm of echinococcosis in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture,summarized the process of control works in recent years,and discussed the difficulties in echinococcosis control.
