Multi-Spectral Imaging of Rare-Earth-Doped Nanoparticles Using Line-Scanning Confocal Microscopy

We demonstrate the ability of multi-spectral confocal microscopy to distinguish the visible upconversion emissions from erbium- and thulium-doped nanoparticles under 980 nm illumination in breast cancer cell lines.
