DES/CUIDADOS COM PROFESSORES HOMENS NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL E REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS

2016
Female-dominated territory, there are few men who seek a space in early childhood education. Much of the social representations (it adopts the concept of Moscovici and Jodelet) indicate that education at this level is a function best performed by women, which ultimately generates prejudices. This paper aims to give visibility to some particularities and social representations that involve male teachers of childhood education by means of a research in a small town in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Were analyzed interviews with families of children that frequent childhood education, an interview with a Pedagogy undergraduate and a training experiences report. The results indicate, mostly, social representations and situations that devalue teacher training altogether to classify man and male as “careless”.
