Implementation of recovery of speech with impulsive noise on a DSP chip

1995
FFT block codes are proposed as an alternative to error correction codes. The authors apply this novel technique in a forward error correction system to recover speech signals with impulsive noise. The system is first simulated and then implemented in real time on the floating point DSP processor AT&T DSP32C. The quality of speech for the FFT block codes with different block lengths is evaluated both subjectively and objectively. >
