Synthesis of elastomeric polypropylene in bulk using the (2-PhInd)2ZrCl2 homogeneous catalyst

The effect of the conditions of propylene polymerization in a liquid monomer medium using a new homogeneous metallocene catalyst (2-PhInd) 2 ZrCl 2 on the rate of polymerization, molecular mass, stereoisomer composition, and elastic properties of PP was studied. It was found that the prepared polymer shows a stereoblock structure, has high molecular mass, and exhibits rubber-like properties. After an elongation of 300% and stress removal, the residual strain is 31-68%.
