Cytotoxicity And Antioxidant Evaluations Of Nickel(II) Mixed Ligand Chelates Against HCT-116, MCF-7, Hepg-2 Cell Line And DPPH Scavenging
2018
Schiff base derived from 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and 2-aminophenol (HL1), in conjunction with different primary amines, such as 2-aminobenzoic acid (HL2), 2-nitroaniline (L3), L-Alanine (HL4) and L-Histidine (HL5)] as asecondary ligands have been synthesized and characterized. The structures of Ni(II) mixed ligand chelates were suggested on the basis of applying some physiochemical techniques [C.H.N. elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, Ft-IR, UV-Vis, 1HNMR, E.P.R and mass spectra] to be an octahedral. The evaluation of the growth inhibitory on human cancer cells was studied for the mixed ligand chelates on cytotoxic activity against carcinoma cells of colon cell lines HCT-116, Hepatocellular carcinoma cells HepG-2 and breast cancer derived cell lines (MCF-7). The antioxidant activity of the same mixed ligand chelates was evaluated by using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl) radical scavenging activity on the three types of cell line HCT-116, HepG-2 and MCF-7. The obtained data showed that the [NiL1L3 ]and [NiL1L4]chelates have an activity against carcinoma cells, but in the DPPH radical scavenging observed that [NiL1L3] mixed ligand chelate was compared.
