Categorização percentílica de testes motores em bombeiros militares do estado de Pernambuco

2017
Introduction: The creation of percentage tables makes the physical fitness assessment more demanding, precise and detailed for the Pernambuco Military Firefighters Training program. Objective: To propose percentage categorization tables for the level of physical fitness of Military Firefighters of the State of Pernambuco. Methods: Through an explanatory, transversal and descriptive study, with samples per sense, performed between 2015 and 2017. The available physical indexes were categorized, based on a database established by neuromotor tests of the Military Fire Brigade of Pernambuco (CBMPE) and applied by qualified personnel in the periods from 2011 to 2014. Exercise tests were performed with an average of 1,800 military personnel each year, of both sexes, with male predominance, in the age group A to F, between 18 and 58 years of age . For the statistical analyzes, the descriptive analysis was applied through frequency and the categorization was applied through the percentage evaluation, with a range of 05 classes between 05% and 100%, using the statistical package SPSS for Windows version 17 of 2008. Results: The percentage tables of the cardiopulmonary capacity tests (2,400m run, 12 minute swimming - male and female and 4,800m walk - male), upper limbs strength tests (arm flexion in the bar - male and above the ground - male and female), a test of localized muscular resistance (abdominal flexion in 1 minute - male and female) and 100m swimming test (male and female) were constructed, totaling 12 tables. According to the values obtained, all the tables presented, in the general statement, superior values in relation to the reference tables. However in tables 08, 10, 12 and 13, in certain age groups, values were lower than the reference tables. Conclusion: Based on the analyzes, it was possible to estimate, through this type of proposal, specific indexes for the evaluation of the physical fitness levels of the Pernambuco military firefighters.
