Hyperbaric oxygen produces in some noise damaged animals a positive effect. We can not explain why some animals do not react on hyperbaric oxygen. The reason could be the effect of the anaesthesia. The postmortal cochlear microphonics increase during hyperbaric oxygen in contrast to the auditory nerve action potentials and brainstem potentials. The conduction of cochlear microphonics, auditory nerve action potentials and brainstem potentials is made simultaneously by cochleography and electric response audiometry-technique.
