A process for preparing Panthenol by culturing a microorganism containing at least one enzyme selected from the group may overexpress of the enzymes in the pantoate biosynthesis and PanC consisting, under appropriate culture conditions with simultaneous feeding of 3-aminopropanol or an appropriate derivative thereof, and optionally recovering the panthenol from the cell culturing medium.
