Patrones Reproductivos Reproductive Patterns

Palabras claves: Aptitud ecologica, estrategias reproductivas, seleccion de tipo k y r, Abstract. In this study the notions of reproductive patterns are described briefly. These patterns in animals in terms of semelparity and iteroparity are noted along with their corresponding traits. Also characteristics of reproductive patterns in plants, namely, those of annuals, biennials and perennial are discussed. Finally, the r and k selection strategies along with their adaptive traits are mentioned and described.
