Analiza utjecaja certificiranosti sustava kvalitete prema normi ISO 9001 na uspješnost poslovanja u drvnoj industriji
2017
ISO 9001 is the most widespread standard for quality management system certification, and is applicable to all types of organizations. Many woodworking and furniture manufacturing companies have recognized the importance of ISO 9001 certification and certified their management system. In this paper a comparative analysis of the financial indicators of the operations of certified and unverified companies in the wood industry is performed. The company's financial business information is collected from the Annual Financial Statements Registry. The aim of this research is to determine if there is a positive correlation between ISO 9001 certification and business performance. To measure business performance the following performance indicators are: total business efficiency (EU), operating profit (EBIT), return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) and net profit margin (ROS). For the purpose of comparing the company, they are divided into five classes of revenue and by basic business. Final results have shown that non-certified companies have better financial ratios than certified.
