Design and Debugging Operation of Sludge Deep Dewatering System in Sewage Treatment Plant

Belt dryer was used to treat sludge in a sewage treatment plant of Fuxin City,Liaoning Provence. Water content of dewatered sludge was about 80%,which can't meet the requirement of the disposal of sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plant — Quality of sludge for co-landfilling (GB/ T 23485—2009). Therefore,to make water content of dewatered sludge meet the requirement,the system of gravity concentration/ chemical conditioning/ high pressure diaphragm filter press was used to deep dewatering in the upgrade-project. The result shows that the sludge water content is less than 60% that meets the design requirements. In this paper,engineering design and operation are described in detail,which provides a reference for similar engineering design experience.
