Glyphosate Tolerance Research of Genetically Modified Cotton Resistance to Glyphosate

2013
In order to define the tolerance of genetically modified cotton 10-6001 resistance to glyphosate, choose transgenic glyphosate resistant cotton material 10-6001 and conventional cotton variety Jimian 958( CK) as test materials, spraying on the leaves with different concentrations of 0( CK, no spraying herbicide, artificial weeding),0. 25% and 0. 50% glyphosate solution when cotton seedling stage of 6 true leaves, the plant height, level of the adr, suffer index, death rate were investigated respectively after spraying herbicide 0( afternoon),1, 7,14 and 21 d,the death of the cotton seedling situation was investigated after spraying herbicide 35 d,and the response of 2 cotton varieties to different concentrations of glyphosate was analyzed, the analysis of variance on plant height was made. The results showed that the cotton seedling stage of 6 true leaves spraying glyphosate, the tolerance of genetically modified cotton 10-6001 to glyphosate was better, the adr of cotton sprayed 0. 25% and 0. 50% of glyphosate solution was lighter during the whole test, characterized by plant dwarf, growth slow, leaf blade slightly smaller and on death after spraying 35 d. Variance analysis showed that there was no significant difference on plant height with artificial weeding. The adr gradually ease with the extension of time. While glyphosate tolerance of conventional cotton Jimian 958 pairs was very poor, phytotoxicity symptoms of cotton sprayed 0. 25%and 0. 50% of glyphosate solution were plant dwarf, growth slow, leaves small and yellow and the adr was increased with the extension of time. The level of the adr and the indexes were all higher than that of 10-6001, the plant height difference was very significant with artificial weeding, some cotton diedgradually after spraying 35 d.
