2012
27-year-old man tripped and fell, striking the right side f his face on the floor. Despite his immediate facial asymetry and abnormal bite, the diagnosis of dislocation was ot made for 4 months. Repeated attempts to reduce it manally had failed, and he was subsequently referred to us. n examination there was deviation of the jaw towards the eft with restricted opening (Fig. 1). Chronic dislocation f right condyle was confirmed by panoramic radiography nd computed tomography (Fig. 2). Our initial attempt at anual reduction under local anaesthesia was unsuccessul. Finally, the right temporomandibular joint (TMJ) was xposed through a transoral approach for a high condyloomy.
