Process for the conversion of high boiling feeds such as crudes and high-boiling distillation residues

2002
A process for converting high-boiling batches selected from high-boiling crude oils, distillation residues, "high boiling oils that are obtained from catalytic treatment", "thermal tars", tars from oil sands, various kinds of coals and other high-boiling batches hydrocarbon origin known as "black oils" are, by the combined use of the following three process units: with the catalysts in a slurry hydroconversion (HT), distillation or flash (D), deasphalting (SDR), characterized in that the three systems with mixed streams consisting of fresh feedstock and recycled streams are operated, whereby the following steps are used: • sending at least a fraction of the heavy feedstock to a deasphalting section (SDA) in the presence of hydrocarbon solvents to obtain two streams, one consisting of deasphalted oil (DAO) and the other of asphalts is; • mixing the asphalt with an appropriate hydrogenation catalyst and possibly with the remaining fraction of high boiling feed, which is not sent to the deasphalting section, and sending the mixture obtained to a hydrotreatment reactor (HT), ...
