Method for purifying silicon, a method of manufacturing a crystalline silicon material, and manufacturing method of a solar cell

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the high quality of metal by highly purifying the metal. SOLUTION: This purification method of silicon comprises: a melting process for melting the metal containing impurities; an immersion process for immersing a support 3 into the molten metal 1; and a precipitation process for solidifying and segregating the molten metal 1 by cooling the support 3 immersed into the molten metal 1, and precipitating the purified metal 4 reduced in impurities on the surface of the support 3. Furthermore, the method comprises a draw-up process for drawing up the support 3 from the molten metal 1, and a removal process for removing an upper-end purified and solidified part 5 which is formed by the solidification of the molten metal 1 adhered on the upper part of a liquid face of the molten metal 1 out of external surfaces of the purified metal 4 in the precipitation process.
