44.1: Invited Paper: High Luminous Efficacy PDP Using CaxMg1−xO Protecting Layer

Developing high gamma protective layer for high Xe concentration gas discharge is one of the most important way to achieve low power consumption Plasma TV. We have developed CaxMg1−xO(CMO) film and related processes for high Xe content PDP. The 50 inch CMO panel shows more than 20% increase of luminous efficacy and about 10 Volts voltage reduction in minimum sustain voltage.
