Aliphatic copolyester aromatic comprising the following repeating units comprising a dicarboxylic component and a dihydroxy component: - [- O- (R11) -OC (O) - (R13) -C (O) -] - - [- O - (R12) -OC (O) - (R14) -C (O) -] - in which the dihydric component comprises -O- (R11) -O- and -O- units (R12) -O- derived from diols, wherein R11 and R12 are identical or different and are selected from the group comprising alkylenes C2-C14, cycloalkylene C5-C10 oxyalkylene C2-C12, heterocycles and mixtures thereof, wherein said diols comprise at least , 50 mole% 1,4-butanediol to the total diol content, wherein the dicarboxylic component comprises units -C (O) - (R13) -C (O) - derived from aliphatic diacids, and units -C (O) - (R14) -C (O) derived from aromatic diacids, where R13 is selected from the group comprising C0-C20 alkylene and mixtures thereof, wherein the aromatic diacids comprise between 2,5 -furanodicarboxi lic from renewable sources and wherein the mole percent of said aromatic diacid is more than 90% and less than 100% of the dicarboxylic component.
