Synthesis and Molecular Structure of Hydroxy and Hydroxyimino Derivatives of Hollongdione

The dammarane triterpenoid hollongdione was modified at the C3 and C20 positions to obtain 3β,20α-dihydroxy and (3E,20ZE)-3,20-dihydroxyimino derivatives whose structure was confirmed by X-ray analysis.
