With the present invention, an AMOLED display device is provided, comprising: a display screen; a data processor which processes image data from a video source, and compensation information of a compensation unit and outputting compensated image data, wherein the image data has a first color depth, and the compensation data and the compensated image data having a second color depth that is greater than the first depth of color; a frame rate control module that sets the compensated image data to the first color depth; a timing controller which generates a timing control signal; a driver that drives the display screen; a display measurement module that measures the homogeneity of the display of the display screen; and generates a compensation unit, the compensation data of the second color depth. With the present invention, a method for precisely compensating for the AMOLED display device is further provided.
