Internetassisted College English Teaching

The social development has brought about a great challenge to college English teaching.There are sharp conflicts between examinationoriented teaching style with big classes and the goal of English teaching.In order to solve this problem,this article argues that using Internet to conduct English teaching is a much better way than the traditional methods.Because Internetassisted English teaching provides students with various,lively and situational materials and leaves room for selfstudy. Provided with a set of textbooks and its closelyrelated website,Internetassisted English teaching is feasible under the guidance of teachers.
