Design of energy management system in distributed power station
2009
This paper presents an Energy Management System (EMS) for a grid-interactive droop-controlled distributed power station, which adjust inverter output based on the power source. The control architecture consists of two levels of hierarchy: (1) the P/Q droop control method of every inverter which can manage the output power of each unit in order to avoid critical communication lines; (2) the management of the distributed power station (DPS) through the control of the setpoints of the units in function of the battery charge level for different operation mode. A DPS Matlab/Simulink model includes two 10kW and one 5kW PV/battery/inverter systems was setup and optimized inverter outputs are then implement in real-time by the EMS.
