Fractals in uroflows.

1994
: Analysis of normal uroflow curves with two different methods give evidence that the uroflow is fractal. It is possible to synthesize uroflow-like curves with the fractal interpolation technique of Barnsley, which may become a way to characterize clinical measurements. Differences between real and synthetic uroflow curves appear when the Lyapunov exponent (a measure of complexity) is calculated: the synthetic curves appear chaotic in this respect, as opposed to the real flow curves.
