EVALUATION DE LA QUALITE DE LA CONSULTATION PRENATALE RECENTREE DANS LES CENTRES DE SANTE COMMUNAUTAIRES DE LA COMMUNE II DU DISTRICT DE BAMAKO, MALI

Antenatal consultation, one of the public health interventions recognized as one of the pillars of reducing maternal and neonatal mortality, has been reviewed in recent years. Thus, the refocused prenatal consultation model was chosen to provide quality women with quality care for all women who meet its criteria. The lack of evaluation on this theme in the community health centers of the commune II, led us to make this study. The objective of this study was to evaluate the current level of the quality of refocused prenatal consultation in the community health centers of commune II of Bamako District. It was a prospective, descriptive and analytical study from 06 December 2016 to 06 January 2017. At the end of this study, it appears that the standards and procedures of the antenatal consultation were mostly respected by providers; the necessary means for a quality prenatal consultation were available; the prenatal consultations were all performed by qualified personnel; the reception of the pregnant ones was of good quality; the examination was conducted according to the standards; explanations of the delivery plan were mostly given by the providers; most patients (86.7%) were satisfied with the benefits; the quality of the refocused prenatal consultation in the community health centers of the commune II was classified level III that is to say average.
