Cardboard box with holes for hands and spacer panel to facilitate lifting and carrying of the box

A carton (10) for cut sheets of paper, wherein said carton comprises: a bottom wall (11), opposed side walls (12, 13) and opposed end walls (14, 15); a hole for hands on each of said opposite end walls (14, 15); and a spacer panel (40) when in use, is inserted into said carton (10) between said reams of cut sheets of paper, said spacer panel (40) having recesses (41) at opposite ends thereof, said recesses being behind coinciding with said holes for the hands (30, 32, 45), which in use provide a space to insert fingers through said holes for hands (30, 32, 45), characterized in that said spacer panel (40) has dimensions of width and length to fit within the dimensions of width and length of the interior of the carton (10).
