Schönlein-Henoch Syndrome

1957
The increased incidence of the Schonlein-Henoch syndrome in recent years has been commented upon by Diamond and Rubin (discussion, Am. J. Dis. Child., 90:544, 1955) and more recently by Derham and Rogerson (Arch. Dis. Childhood, 31:364, 1956). The latter authors suggest that this may be more apparent than real due to the interest aroused by Gairdner9s valuable and exceedingly well written paper (Quart. J. Med., 17:95, 1948). From the standpoint of the allergist another explanation which appears to be very logical may be offered which would account for an actual increase in the incidence of this disease.
