Angiographic study of a rare anomalous origin of the vertebral artery
1975
An angiographic study of two cases in which the right vertebral artery arises anomalously from the right common carotid is presented. The need of angiography with catheterization whenever the vertebral artery fails to be visualized by the retrograde brachial angiography is stated. The possible role that anomalies of the great vessels of the aortic arch might play in disorders of the cerebral circulation is discussed.
