PREPARATION OF METALLIC FOILS FROM ISOTOPES

The preparation of very thin metallic foils of Ni. Co. Cu. Zn, Cd, Mn, Fe, Ag, Cr, Pb. Be. Ge, and Zr to be used as targets in nuclear studies is described. Electrolytic precipitation and evaporation by direct heating and by thermal dissociation are discussed. (R.V.J.)
