MEASUREMENT AND CORRELATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE ADULT CHINESE MANDIBULAR ARCHES

1991
One hundred fifty three mandibles of adult Chinese cadavers were measured. The acquired data were correlatively analysed with computer. It was found that bigonial breadth (EE’) was correlated with the breadth between bilateral canines (BB’), the bimentalbreite (CC’) and the breadth between right and left vertex of alveolar ridge between the first and the second molar (DD’). The length of mandibular body (AF) was strongly correlated with the vertical distance from bigonial breadth to the breadth of bilateral canines (BB’F), to the bimentalbreite (CC’F) and to the breadth between right and left vertex of alveolar ridge between the first and the second molar (DD’F). Six regressive equations were established. Significance of these equations was discussed.
