An absolute manometer for gas pressures in the range of 10−3 to 10−2 torr

Abstract We describe the characteristics of a manometer for absolute pressure measurements of gases in open vessels, and under steady flow conditions. The analysis of the instrument's performance is carried out in some detail and shows that a precision of 1.2% in the pressure range between 10 −3 and 10 −2 torr has been obtained.
