STRUCTURAL DOMAINS IN HISTONES

ABSTRACT Trypsin digestion of chromatin leads to the preferential removal of specific terminal regions of histones. This, and other evidence, supports the concept of histones as multidomain proteins in which the different domains have separate structural and functional roles.
