AI: Description and defense

AI is in itself old news, but its fields of application never cease to expand, and continue to take over new ones, particularly in the defense domain. AI takes on many forms, leaving us with the problem of how it should be described. Why? and how? are the questions to be asked about its applications with a military connection.
