Comparison of immunogenecity of live and inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine:Stain SA-14-14-2 and P_3

2000
Mice in groups were subcutaneously and peritoneally inoculated with live and inactivated attenuated SA 14 14 2 strain virus and inactivated P3 strain vaccine separately.14 days after the inoculation,the mice were bleed to test the antibody.Meanwhile the mice were challenged with P3 strain virus to test the efficacy.The efficacy was:live SA14 14 2 strain:1.8×10 -5 ~6.1×10 -6 ID 50 /ml,inactivated SA14 14 2 strain 9.9×10 -1 ~7.2×10 -3 ID 50 /ml,P3 strain vaccine 4.0×10 -3 ~2.2×10 -4 ID 50 /ml.The antibody level was:SA14 14 2 strain 1∶2(subcutaneously and peritoneally),inactivated SA14 14 2 strain1∶2(subcutaneously and peritoneally),P3 strain vaccine 1∶2(subcutaneously),1∶10(peritoneally).The experimental results indicate:the immune efficacy of SA14 14 2 is much higher than that of inactivated SA14 14 2 and P3 strain.The antibody level of live attenuated SA14 14 2 strain was lower(compare with P3 strain),but the immune efficacy was much higher,indicates that the live attenuated SA14 14 2 strain has different mechanical immunogenecity.It might induce both humoral and cellular immunity.
