A Study on Ecotoxicological Effects of Nano-copper Oxide Particles to Portunus Trituberculatus

2016
Based on high performance of nano-copper oxide particles, the nano-technology has been further developed, and increasingly trusted by people. In daily use, however, nano-copper oxide itself has the toxic effect, which has inevitably become the block of security application. Therefore, the paper sets gills, haemolymph, muscle and hepatopancreas of the portunus trituberculatus as its study objects, and discusses tests on the chronic toxicity of portunus trituberculatus in the liquid with the concentration of portunus trituberculatus in 0, 20, 40 mg/L. The results showed that under certain concentration of nano-copper oxide, the organ activity of each tissue of portunus trituberculatus was significantly decreased with the increase of experimental time; but when the organ and tissue of portunus trituberculatus were exposed to different concentrations of nano-copper oxide, the activity of each organ would be correspondingly reduced, the activity from low to high was gill>haemolymph>muscle>hepatopancreas; the toxic effect of nano-copper oxide particles on the gill of portunus trituberculatus was much higher than muscle, haemolymph, hepatopancreas and other organs and tissues.
