One kind of zinc and iron in the zinc leach residue separation methods, the present invention first with zinc sulfate leach residue, calcined after mixing of the additive, the zinc leaching residue iron and zinc into a soluble and insoluble zinc sulfate of ferric oxide; secondly, directly leached calcined product by dilute sulfuric acid solution; and then to the zinc leach solution into the flue gas to the ammonia gas firing process outputs as a main component is precipitated, and zinc hydroxide outputs ammonium sulfate solution , concentrated ammonium sulfate solution, prepared by crystallization ammonium sulfate firing process returns. Ammonium roasting process of the present invention allows the zinc leaching residue of zinc ferrite phase into soluble zinc sulfate, zinc leaching is higher than 97%, the leaching rate of less than 2% of iron, zinc effectively achieved, separation of iron; ammonium firing process output ammonia leaching solution used directly in the sink zinc, zinc hydroxide, while the output of the product can be achieved reproduction ammonium sulfate; comprehensive recovery of greater than 96% zinc; closed circulation can be achieved, more environment-friendly.
