3D printed ZnO absorbent for desulfurization of syngas fuel

2017
Preparation of ZnO absorbents by 3D additive manufacturing (AM) for the adsorption of H 2 S in syngas fuel is conducted. ZnO feedstock for 3D AM was extruded to produce pyramid catalytic ceramic support (the absorbent) with a fracture strength of 5.7–9.1 MPa. The pore size of the supports showed bimodal distributions, which could impregnate Ni/CeO 2 catalyst. The desulfurization effect of the catalyst/absorbent were investigated on simultaneously reforming of CHt to H 2 at 800 °C. After reforming by the catalysts, the concentrations of H 2 S of 38.5 ppm in the raw syngas were reduced to a level of 0.9 ppm.
