A method for scalable purification of plasmid DNA

The present invention relates to a non-chromatographic method for isolating clinical grade Plasmid DNA from bacterial cells. The methods given as examples described herein demonstrate a scalable, economically advantageous protocol for the purification of a clinical grade of E. coli plasmid DNA purification involving precipitation of CTAB-based DNA in combination with adsorption of calcium silicate impurities.
