Działania Niemców wobec Polaków w świetle konspiracyjnej prasy ugrupowań demokratycznych (1939–1945)

2010
[Nazi German activities towards Poles in the light of the clandestine press of the democratic parties (1939–1945)] In the press of the democratic parties, published in years 1939–1945, a lot of attention was paid to the Nazi German actions directed at Poles. This topic was most extensively discussed in the publications of Stronnictwo Demokratyczne ”Prostokąt” (the Democratic Party “Rectangle”), Stronnictwo Polskiej Demokracji (the Polish Democracy Party), Związek Odbudowy Rzeczypospolitej (the Reconstruction of Poland Association) and Spoleczna Organizacja Samoobrony (the Self-defence Social Organization): Dziennik Polski, Jutro Polski. Biuletyn Informacyjny, Jutro Polski. Organ Demokratyczny, Slowo Polskie, Polska i Świat. Biuletyn Informacyjny, Tygodnik Polski. Organ Demokratyczny, Glos Demokracji. Organ SPD, Goniec Polski, Nowe Drogi, Kurier Powszechny, Komunikat Informacyjny, Watra, Wolna Polska. Organ Z.O.R., Wojna Cywilna, Przegląd Propagandowy, Samoobrona, Przewodnik Polityczny. Organ Informacyjno-Polityczny „Związku Wolnej Polski”, Komunikat Wolnej Polski, Komunikat Prasowy S.O.S., Samoobrona Spoleczna. The occupational strategy of the Nazis was described in the papers in a broad and multi-aspectual manner. The emphasis was put on the diversity of methods used by the Nazis for the extermination of the Polish people and the destruction of its culture and economy. The Nazi Germans were described as ”degenerated”, ”pathological”, using „international lawlessness, sanctioning assault and invasion as long as it is performed by e higher race, the German ‘race of Masters’”. The journalists argued that the German people would be condemned to “eternal disgrace” for the deeds committed during the war and occupation.
