Los conceptos de las narraciones humanas estan estrechamente relacionados con las cuestiones de lugar y espacio. Cuando hablamos de nosotros mismos, comenzamos normalmente dando nuestro nombre y lugar de origen, nos ubicamos en un mapa mental. Tenemos una fuerte necesidad de pertenencia: tener un hogar, un lugar al que sentimos que pertenecemos es uno de los elementos basicos de nuestra identidad, y es un problema no tenerla, como se desprende de los diversos conceptos basicos de las narraciones. Los huerfanos, los sin techo, la gente que ha perdido la memoria y el sentido de pertenencia son ejemplos claros de las historias que nos conducen a las cuestiones de lugar. The concepts of human narratives are closely related to the questions of place and space. When we speak about ourselves, we normally start by telling our name and where we come from. We place ourselves in a mental map. We have a strong need to belong somewhere. To have a home, a place where we feel we belong to, is one the basic elements of our identity, and if we do not have it, it is a problem, as we know from the many basic concepts of narratives. Orphans, homeless, people who have lost their memory and the sense of belonging are the just examples of the stories which lead us to the questions of place.
