Topraksız Ortama Arbusküler Mikoriza Aşılamanın Patlıcan (Solanum melongena L.) Yetiştiriciliği Üzerine Etkileri

2009
This study was carried out in 2001 and 2003 using soilless cultivation technique in an unheated glasshouse of Agricultural Faculty of Gaziosmanpasa University. In the study, eggplant (cv. Faselis F 1 ) was used as plant material and pumice as growing medium. In the trials, the effects of two factors, mycorrhiza inoculation (+mycorrhiza and –mycorrhiza) and phosphourus levels (15, 30 and 45 ppm) were examined. Glomus caledonium mycorrhiza species was used; inoculation was applied at seed sowing or seedling planting as 50 spores/plant and as 1000 spores/plant, respectively. In the trial, seedling growth, root infection ratio, yield and disposed mineral amounts were determined. “+ Mycorrhiza inoculation” increased the growth parameters in the seedlings ready to be planted with respect to control. In two years, as vegetation periods advanced, in all P levels root infection considerably increased, and root infection decreased as P rate of nutrient solution increased. Maximum root infection ratios were 97.3% and 98.3% respectively in first and second years. For eggplant growing in the pumice, 15 ppm P rate was concluded to be enough with “+ mycorrhiza application”. It is concluded that in the 15 ppm P rate with “+ mycorrhiza application”, yield increase could be up to 23% compared to control (-15). On the other hand, it was concluded that in high P dosage “+ mycorrhiza application” could make a positive contribution by reducing the amounts of disposed minerals.
