Application of Ozone to Eliminate Tertiary Treatment of Wastewater Used For Industrial Cooling

Abstract The application of ozone for treatment of cooling water is being investigated at pilot scale. The cooling water is secondary municipal effluent. Process conditions are severe. Heat transfer and corrosion parameters are monitored. Mass balances are used to determine the fate of chemical constituents, with the intent of gaining insight into process mechanisms.
