Exploring the impact of environmental factors on distracted pedestrian crossing behaviour using theory of planned behaviour

The aim of the study was to examine the impact of environmental factors on pedestrian crossing behaviour under conditions of pedestrian distraction using a Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB; Ajzen, 1991) framework. Within the context of this study, environmental factors are defined as features in the surroundings; specifically crossing type, traffic speed and traffic density.
