Magnesium alloy and device and method for machining magnesium alloy handrail ring of wheelchair

2012
The invention discloses a magnesium alloy, which contains 6.0 percent of Al, 1.0 percent of Zn, 0.3 percent of Mn, 3.0 percent of rare-earth elements, 0.8 percent of Ca and the balance of Mg, and belongs to the fields of magnesium alloy materials and applications thereof. A device for machining a magnesium alloy handrail ring of a wheelchair comprises a bracket and a power device, and is characterized in that: a fluted disc and a fixed grooved pulley are arranged on the bracket through a central dead axle, and are coaxial with each other; the fluted disc is arranged below the fixed grooved pulley, and is provided with a compression wheel and a guide wheel; the power device comprises a speed regulating motor; a revolving shaft of the speed regulating motor is provided with a driving gear; and the driving gear is meshed with the fluted disc. Compared with the conventional magnesium alloy AZ31, the magnesium alloy disclosed by the invention has remarkably higher deformation capability and higher tensile strength. The high-stability second-phase-enhanced high-plastic-deformation magnesium alloy has typical physical properties, to be specific, the room-temperature tensile strength and the yield strength are 320-360Mpa and 260-290Mpa respectively.
