Multiplatform Mobile Application for Identification and Localization of Objects in Space

2020
Goal of this work is to create multiplatform application for identification and localization of objects in space, using latest technologies and analysis of its usability. This application has wide practical use in industrial processes to aid machines in identification a localization of required objects or as a part of IoT system. Visual Studio with the technology of Xamarin has been used for implementation multiplatform application for both Android and iOS platform. OpenCV library, which is widely spread library in computer vision, has been used to create model for identification. Due to lack of availability for this specific environment EmguCV C# wrapper of OpenCV functionality has been used to implement algorithms and features of the library. Key algorithm of this implementation is SURF which is very robust, fast and precise algorithm delivering success rate of 86% in identification and localization of objects within chosen testing data.
