The present investigation aimed to study environmental effects on some basic properties of wood of Thuya (Tetraclinis articulata vahl masters) covering a region from Tlemcen, near the Mediterranean sea to the high plateaux of Tiaret (Algeria). Results indicter the Thuya wood can be qualified as heavy with a raised withdrawal, and a resin rate depending on the environmental riche where its develops. This type of wood could be injected by industrial sectors, as energy source.
