High pressure synthesis and instability of surface structure of heavy fermion material CePb3

Abstract The intermetallic compound CePb 3 has been synthesized both at atmospheric pressure and at high pressure. An X-ray diffraction study was carried out on them and the dependence of the diffraction profile. The electrical resistance of both specimens was also measured.
