2005
The system of Authoritarian Politics among some East-Asian countries after World War II emerged under particular historical conditions with a deep political and economical foundation. The weak economy and politics in the East-Asian countries account for why they have chosen Authoritarianism instead of Western democratic system. After World War II,the mode of "Authoritarianism plus Development",conveying the aspirations of East-Asian countries to change the backward situation, has scored obvious achievements in a long term. However,Authoritarianism does not meet the need of modernization and it can only serve as a transitional form.
